Pic: We asked people in Huntington how to spell potato and they sent us here!
We left Logansport on a chilly, no jacket, sunny morning. It could not have been more perfect! Most of us rode together for the first 10 miles. It was a beautiful sight to see a colorful parade of 12 happy ladies winding through farmland, tree-lined streets, waving to early risers.
The big difference between Illinois( which we all loved riding in) and Indiana is trees. Beautiful shady trees! We rode along through flat fields of corn, wheat, and soybeans , took a right turn and were immediately in a forest! The Salamonie River State Park. Stuck in the middle of nowhere! Bettye thought she was in Felton, I thought I was in Yosemite! It didn't last long as we rode back into more fields. We then rode into Huntington(named after one of the Declaration of Independence signers) , had lunch, and checked in. Everybody but Sue did the whole 70 miles. Poor Sue broke a spoke.
It was a great day and we are off to Defiance, Ohio tomorrow. More Margaritas! Day 19 of riding.
