We left Hamburg, NY on a beautiful morning with people going to work and children going to school. We had lots of waves and good mornings as we rode through the streets. The town of Orchard Park was especially beautiful and the ride to get there was in the country with birds singing and the smells of new mown hay. Then we had the smells of an industrial city of Buffalo and it was garbage day. We were detained with a flat tire and then rode on a bike path along Lake Erie to the Peace bridge to Canada and Niagara Falls. We walked over the bridge to customs, had our passports checked and took an immediate turn to the road to the falls. We followed the Niagara River on a bike path for several miles to the falls. What a spectacular sight. It was quite warm and the mist was very refreshing. We had a hotdog viewing the falls and then rode over the Rainbow Bridge back to the US and to our hotel with a view of the skyline of Niagara Falls, Canada. Tomorrow is a rest day and I am looking forward to not riding my bike for various reasons. Notice we both had on the same shirt. Actually three of is wore the same shirt today and we didn't even plan it. Check the blog for more pictures of this day. Maybe golf tomorrow.
